In this world we are living in, where Instagram always reminds us of how right we were to react in the way we reacted , it becomes hard to people to truly dig deep within and reflect on moments where they were toxic.
Self discovery is the best thing you can do for your family, your friends , your partner and even yourself. Through self discovery we get to know ourselves in the deepest manner and through that knowledge we get to navigate life as captains of our own ships not just passengers.
If one gets to look closely in social media posts that talk about Ex bf and ex gf , u would realize that the other party is always to blame, they were the ones that were wrong in the relationship which later led to th break up. To me , I see all those posts as toxic tools that help groom toxic people in society.
The ability to see where u went wrong in every argument is a blessing. Even if the other person is truly at fault, being able to see where u were wrong is self mastery in it’s excellence. Sometimes we are at fault because of the words we said and the words we did not say. Sometimes we are at fault because we let that conversation gain that much momentum. Sometimes we are at fault because………..I’m pretty sure you can finish that statement by imagining th role you were supposed to play which you later didn’t.
So after blabbering everything ,what am I trying to say.
I’m saying, it is good to see the toxic us before we stretch a finger to identify the next person who is “in your words TOXIC”. By learning to play your role in every situation we get to see life from a thousand angles and open up space for more growth and improvement as individuals.
Sometimes we enter into relationships with our TOXIC mindsets and mouths , which Never know the word sorry. At the end of the day we let our pride and egos take control and ruin our beautiful bonds which took an arm and a heart to build.
NB. There are instances where the other person is really TOXIC by all definitions, and Instead of apologizing everyday, it’s best to walk away.
We humans are complex beings special in every way from our genetic makeup to ways of living that is why you can prescribe one solution for all the individuals on the face of the Earth because we are all different.
So with the advice Ive posted on top be sure to take whatever lesson you derived and be a better person. Do it for you, do it for your family and do it for your friends. They too deserve a better version of you that focuses on spreading love and peace.
moral principles that govern a person’s behaviour or the conducting of an activity and synonyms include morals.
Then we have Civic volunteerismAKA Civic engagement
Civic engagement can take many forms—from individual volunteerism, community engagement efforts, organizational involvement and government work such as electoral participation. These engagements may include directly addressing a problem through personal work, community based, or work through the institutions of representative democracy.[6] Many individuals feel a sense personal responsibility to actively engage as a sense of obligation to their community. “Youth civic engagement” has similar aims to develop the community environment and cultivate relationships, although youth civic engagement places an emphasis on empowering youth.
OK Let me now tell you a little story
There was a man who lived with his sick wife in their poverty stricken'” house”‘. The situation was deteriorating drastically and the wife was so near to kicking the bucket. He had taken her to the doctor with the little money he had and the doctor had prescribed certain medication for her. that was better because we now know that she had chances of survival but there was a problem .The man had no money and the medication was needed ASAP. So one day he decided to break into a nearby pharmacy and stole the required medication for his lover. He was arrested the following morning though ,what a shame . So my question is was he supposed to be arrested or what?
Let me tell you what we use when it comes to THE LAW
1.The harm principle
we look at who has been affected by your actions.
2.Intention based principle
for every crime committed by an individual we look at the intentions behind .Some people commit crimes un intentionally and out of self defence(and one must prove that first)
3.Human rights principle
for the crime committed we look at humans rights. If one infringes another humans right he/she must face the music behind bars.
I have did my research and here is what I have found but first do know that it is not my idea and would like to acknowledge the publishers of the info!!!
ETHICAL DECISION MAKING PROCESS
Step 1 Identify the primary stakeholders in this situation, based on the mission of your organization and its primary clients. Record on the worksheet on the following page.
Step 2 Identify the core ethical values or principles being violated in your ethical dilemma. Consider each stakeholder. Record your thoughts on the worksheet.
Step 3 Generate a list of possible courses of action. Do this for each stakeholder; always consider the option of doing nothing at all.
Step 4 Decide on the most ethical course of action by: • Considering the interests of all stakeholders. Use the results on the worksheet to pick the course of action that produces the most positive consequences and the fewest negative consequences.
• Choosing a course of action based on core ethical values rather than those based on non-ethical values.
• Only violating a core ethical value if it is clearly necessary in order to advance another core ethical value that will produce a greater balance of good in the long run.
Step 5 Weigh positive and negative consequences. Implement your decision.
Step 6 Monitor and modify the decision as necessary.
I have even done the honours of looking for a table for you. You can thank me later

What I could say is there are 6 core ethical values and here they are
TRUSTWORTHINESS Trustworthiness concerns a variety of behavioural qualities — honesty, integrity, reliability and loyalty.
2.RESPECT Respect is about honouring the essential worth and dignity of all people, including oneself. We are morally obligated to treat everyone with respect, regardless of who they are and what they have done. We have a responsibility to be the best we can be in all situations, even when dealing with unpleasant people.
RESPONSIBILITY Life is full of choices. Being responsible means being in charge of our choices and therefore our lives. It means being accountable for what we do and who we are. It also means recognizing that what we do, and what we don’t do, matters.
4.FAIRNESSairness is a tricky concept. Disagreeing parties tend to maintain that there is only one fair position – their own. But while some situations and decisions are clearly unfair, fairness usually refers to a range of morally justifiable outcomes rather than discovery of one fair answer.
CARING Caring is the heart of ethics. It is scarcely possible to be truly ethical and not genuinely concerned with the welfare others. That is because ethics is ultimately about our responsibilities toward other people.
CITIZENSHIP The concept of citizenship includes how we ought to behave as part of a community. The good citizen knows the laws and obeys them – but they also volunteer and stay informed on the issues of the day. Citizens do more than their “fair” share to make society work, now and for future generations. Citizenship can have many expressions, such as conserving resources, recycling, using public transportation and cleaning up litter. Based on Making Ethical Decisions – Josephson Institute of Ethics
Before we even start what is volunteering on the first place?
It is the process whereby an individual offers services for the benefit of the community and does not expect to be paid in return
What is a volunteer then?
According to the United Nations volunteering is the giving of services willingly for public benefit where money is not the principal motivating factor
People often ask “why do we volunteer?”
Give back selflessly
To be seen
Boost public image
Increase the network of people one knows
Gain work experience and skills
Help those in need after feeling guilty and emphathetic
Inorder to get a sense of belonging and identity
After volunteering what do you gain ,I mean why waste time and energy on this?🤷🤷🤷
It promotes unity among community
Helps improve way of life for the community and it’s members
Individuals who volunteer often feel good about themselves
After volunteering one gains love and a sense of belonging as the community or organisation appreciates your actions and incorporates you into it in one way or the other
Personal growth increases over time
One has a chance to learn and interact with people of different cultures and traditions thus you learn a lot
What else should you know?
Volunteering is considered an ultrustic activity where an individual or a group of people provide services for social gain so as to benefit another person group or organisation and not self
NB:By volunteering you can get a job and get to boost your CV
Let me tell you a secret!!!
I once got to hear my mentor talk and he recalled the several number of times he volunteered to a certain NGO and when there was slot for an employee he was the first choice and now he is earning his clean cut of salary and gets to care for his family.
What about me ?
You know after all this knowledge has been impacted on me ,I have this crazy idea that I want to do over the holidays .I personally love the museum and would like to volunteer there for a start.I therefore challenge you to volunteer at least once and tell me your experience and views
NB: Remember to channel your efforts in the right field and not volunteer in a place that won’t show life after you volunteer .For example cleaning a pig for it to get into the mud again!
To wrap up ,I would like to say Smile ,Go out there ,Put a smile on someone’s face and Be the change. #You are a volunteer
